TOPIC: GOD’S PROTECTION AGAINST DANGERS.
OPENING PRAYER: Dear Lord, may the entrance of your word bring light and life to all I will do today.

Read Isaiah 54:17. It says that no weapon fashioned against the servant of the Lord shall prosper. Today we read about one of such weapons that was fashioned against David but it did not work because God was with him.
King Saul in his hatred and maneuvers against David gave him an offer with a promise that anyone who killed the Philistines would become his son-in-law (17:25). In his mind, this offer would lure David to fight the philistines and he would be killed. David took up the challenge unaware that it was a dangerous trap set for him by King Saul. That notwithstanding, with God’s help, David was victorious in the war but Saul denied him the offer.
Again, Saul set another fatal trap and offer to David by asking for a strange dowry for his another daughter’s marriage: to go and circumcise 100 philistines; hoping that David would be killed in the battle (v.25-27) This was a clever weapon fashioned by the king to kill David but the Lord delivered him.
As Christians, there are known and unknown battles the Lord fights for us. Read Isaiah 59:1-2 and point out a factor that can shorten the arm of the Lord to deliver His child from dangers? Check your life and confess your sins to the Lord.

‣ The entourage with the HOD, the RC and the TSes in Benin Region
PRAY FOR:
‣ The Spirit of God to go ahead of the tour, granting journey mercies and opening closed doors
‣ The wisdom of God upon His servant, the HOD as he visits all the places of interest in the Region.
‣ The tour’s impact to remain visible on the entire members of the Region
