Scripture Union Daily Guide 27 September 2025 Outline:
What can we learn from Job’s response to Bildad’s speech (Job 25), especially about how we counsel people who are hurting (Job 26:1-4)? Job did not see any value in what Bildad said. Once again, this teaches us the need to be empathic when we attempt to counsel those who are suffering. Carefully read Job 26:6-14 again and take note of the great attributes of God and some amazing facts about our world.
Our God is majestic in power, strength, knowledge, wisdom, and words. Nothing is hidden from His sight. Even death and the grave (sheol) are laid bare before Him (Job 26:5-6). He created the earth from nothing and hung it on nothing (Job 26:7). What an awesome God we serve! Do you know anything that surpasses the power and understanding of our God?
Read and meditate on Job 26:14! How do the angels and other beings in heaven respond to the majesty of God (Revelation 4:9-11, Revelation 5:11-12)? Every time we observe the wonders of God in creation and the order of things in the universe, we should also be motivated to worship and glorify Him
