Scripture Union Daily Guide 28th April 2025 Today’s Devotional

Topic: God ordained provision for the Levites
Opening Prayer: Oh Lord, grant me divine guidance as I read and meditate on your word in Jesus name.
Scripture: Numbers 35:1-21

Question(s) For Meditation:
â–º Q 1: What does the passage teach about God the Father, or God the Son or God the Holy Spirit?
â–º Q8: Is there any other Biblical passage that can help me understand this passage better?

Scripture Union Daily Guide 28th April 2025 Outline:

The Levites were not to be given any land as inheritance instead they were to be given 48 cities to live in and pasture lands for their animals. As people called to serve God in the Tabernacle, God made adequate provisions for their needs to be taken care of. What does that teach you about God who calls men to His service?

The New Testament Church/Ministry staff of our time deserves suitable welfare packages. These missionaries, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are, like the Levites, also called to devote their entire life to God’s service. They deserve the support of other believers. What can we do to make adequate provision to meet their needs?

Read Numbers 35:9-21 again and take note of the reason for appointing the cities of refuge. It is not uncommon for people to want to avenge the murder of their loved ones. This has led to endless fights and wars among clans and tribes. God is concerned about the shedding of blood, even when there is reason to do so.

What Next:
