Scripture Union Daily Guide 6th August 2025 Outline

Surely, the labourers who started work early in the morning have a good reason to complain as they do in Matthew 20:11! Look at it in another way. If they did not know what the others were given, would they have had any complaint? On the contrary, they would have been very grateful to the landowner for hiring them and for paying them a decent wage. After all, he had found them jobless and waiting expectantly for anyone to hire them for the day. This man gave them a job so that they could earn the money they needed to look after themselves and their families.

A lot of our problems in life stem from comparing ourselves with other people. Do you not see this problem lurking in your own heart and life as well? If you are honest with yourself, are there not some people you see and wish you were like them? God deals with each one of us individually and on His own terms. Learn to count your blessings and give God the glory because He is truly good to you!

And So
Use the song, “Count your blessings” to praise the Lord for His goodness to you.
