TOPIC: YOUR LOVE-LIFE AND YOUR HEALTH
SCRIPTURE: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1John 4:8
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Walking in love is walking in the Life of God.
It has been confirmed that there is a connection between a person’s love-life and their quality of health. Walking in love keeps a person in sound health.
On the other hand, walking in bitterness and hate makes a person vulnerable to afflictions. Hebrews 12:15 says, Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; So, bitterness and hate trouble the body; they trouble the entire body system.
Staying in sound health is crucial if one must fulfil destiny. So, today, we shall look at the connection between love-life and health. How does walking in love keep us in health?
Love connects man to the life of God. 1John 4:8 says, He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Walking in love is walking in the Life of God. Walking in love grants us access to the Life of God. And that Life of God is a sickless It is literally a tireless and oppression-free life.
Love is strong enough to withstand the forces of disease and death. Songs of Solomon 8:6 says… for love is strong as death… That is, love is equal to the task of death. Dorcas walked out on death by her practice of love (Acts 9:36-42). When Dorcas died, the widows surrounded her.They began to recount what she did for them, saying: she paid my house rent, she paid my children’s school fees, see the clothes she made for me and my children. And Peter was there with the fire of God. And heaven must have said: This is not a person that is permitted to die now. That death was reversed by the force of love.
Beloved, walk in love. Proceed as a giver. Go forward in impacting your generation. And whenever the force of premature exit comes your way, the force of love will bounce it back to hell.
Love prevents the root of trouble from developing.It prevents the root of systemic trouble (Hebrews 12:15). When you allow the root of bitterness, hatred or lovelessness to spring up in your heart, you have opened a door for trouble in your life.
Beloved, are you interested in your health? Walk in love and the power in the Life of God will revitalize your body and keep you in sound health.
Remember this: Walking in love is walking in the life of God.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Trust God for His grace to forgive and love those who have offended you.
2. Practically demonstrate love; give to someone in need today.
3. Refuse to be discouraged even if you have ever been rewarded with ingratitude and disrespect by someone to whom you have shown love.
PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to allow any root of bitterness to develop in my heart and trouble my life. Cause every part of my body to function perfectly as I walk in love, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

ABOUT: Dr. Paul Enenche is a distinguished Nigerian pastor, medical doctor, gospel singer, and author.
