TOPIC: TOOLS FOR VICTORY IN LIFE.

SCRIPTURE:
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 JOHN 5:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every new light from God’s Word puts a sword in your hand.

Beloved, you are welcome to the month of October. This month will deliver into your hands pending rewards, harvests and blessings, in Jesus’ Name.

Today is a special and remarkable day for our dear country, Nigeria. It is our Independence Day, and as we celebrate our independence, God will continue give Nigeria victory and rest on every side. He will perfect all that concerns us as a Nation, in Jesus’ Name.

In seasons like this, it is crucial to understand the necessary forces or tools that enforce victory in life both as a nation and as individuals. It is obvious that we live in a world of battles. Ephesians 6:12 says,
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities… The emphasis here is, “…we wrestle.” It is confirmed that you don’t have to look for trouble before trouble looks for you.

Now, knowing that we live in a world of battles, it is important, therefore, to be equipped with the necessary tools for victory in life.

Today, we shall be looking at some of the tools for victory in life.

1. Being born of God.
1John 5:4 says,
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Be born of God; don’t assume it. If your father is born again, you are not the one who is born again. God has children, not grandchildren. Your parents’ salvation is not your salvation. Your pastor’s salvation is not your salvation.

2. Faith in God. And this is the victory that overcometh, even our faith.
(1John 5:4 Paraphrased). Faith guarantees victory, but doubt and fear will position a person for defeat
(Job 3:25).

3. The Voice of the Lord. The voice of God positions a person for victory in life. If you can hear God, you can dare anything.
(Isaiah 30:31).
Moses ran away from Pharaoh to the wilderness for 40 years. He could not return to Egypt until he heard the Voice of God. That Voice took him back to confront, collapse, and bury what conquered him before.

4. The Light of the Word (Ephesians 6:17).
Every new light from God’s Word puts a sword in your hand. The sword is a weapon of offence, attack and victory. When you are confronted, get into the Word and take the sword.

5. The Practice of righteousness. Proverb 28:1 says, The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. And a lion is the strongest among beasts and turneth not away from any (Proverbs 30:30). So, to have a clear conscience is to have the boldness to dare the devil.

REMEMBER THIS:
Every new light from God’s Word puts a sword in your hand.

1. Deploy the tools for victory mentioned in today’s lesson against any form of battle you may be facing.

2. Pray for Nigeria and the countries of the world for the enforcement of God’s will and agenda.

PRAYER:
Lord, I receive the grace to stay victorious in the battles of life. I decree that the agenda of hell against my life, destiny and family is aborted, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
