TOPIC: THE PRODUCTS OF EXCELLENCE
SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. DANIEL 6:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Excellence takes a man from obscurity to notoriety.
The Church is not just a place where needs are met, or problems solved; it is part of it, but the Church has a higher purpose. It is the place where sons and daughters of God are brought into tangible relationship with their Maker so that they can proceed into the world and become voices for God in their generation.
Beloved, it is one thing to come to Church and be healed or receive financial breakthroughs, but it is another level altogether to become a channel of God’s healing power and kingdom prosperity to your generation. God is looking for men and women that are visible representations of the invisible God to their generation. That means that the God that people cannot see, can be seen through the man they can see.
In our anchor Scripture, the Bible says that Daniel was of an excellent spirit and so the king planned to set him over the whole realm. He was preferred among all his contemporaries because an excellent spirit was in him.
Now, what are the products of excellence? In our study today, we shall be looking at two products of excellence.
1. Excellence gives you access to the high places of the earth.
Excellence will give you access to places of power, influence and authority. It was excellence that made Daniel stand before King Nebuchadnezzar. It was excellence that made Joseph stand before King Pharaoh of Egypt.
Beloved, if you are outstanding in what you do, you will stand in the high places of the earth. It will give you access to principalities, powers, thrones and dominions. It will give you access and with that access, you have the capacity to influence a whole nation.
For example, any nation Bill Gates wants to go to, the ruler of that nation will count it as a privilege to receive him. Indonesia is the largest Islamic nation on earth today, but the ruler of the land once invited Benny Hinn to come and preach to them. Why? Benny Hinn is outstanding in his assignment. The reason the Body of Christ has not been able to affect our generation the way we are supposed to affect it is that Christians have downplayed excellence in their endeavours.
2. Excellence is the secret of promotion and elevation in life (Daniel 6:3).
Excellence is what propels a man from the back to the front. Excellence catapults a man from obscurity to notoriety. It is what enables a man to rise above the level of his peers and classmates.
Beloved, the Plan and Purpose of God for His children is for them to be the head and not the tail. It is, therefore, an error for children of God to be the tail while children of the devil are the head.
REMEMBER THIS: Excellence takes a man from obscurity to notoriety.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Determine to be the best in your field of endeavour.
2. Ask God to baptize you with the Spirit of excellence.
3. Make up your mind to be a transmitter of God’s Glory through excellence.
PRAYER: Father, help me to be outstanding in my assignment, so I can impact my world for You, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
