TOPIC: FURTHER SECRETS TO ACCESSING LIGHT
SCRIPTURE: Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you inquire of GOD and ask Him specific questions, He will give you light in that area.
Previously, we saw two secrets to accessing light. We saw love for God and desperation as two keys to accessing light.
In our study today, we shall be looking at further secrets to accessing light.
i. Inquiry for light.
Inquiry is a secret of accessing light. When you inquire of God and ask Him specific questions, He will give you light in that area.
Jeremiah 6:16 says,
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Inquiring is asking God questions like, “What is the mystery behind this challenge? What is the right way to do this? What do you want me to do in this condition Lord?”
When you ask God in humility, He would flood your life with light.
ii. The attitude of Joy and praise.
The attitude of Joy and praise is another secret of light and insight.
Isaiah 12:3 says,
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
The truth is, the depressed can never have access to inspiration. Revelation is never the privilege of the depressed. Depression excuses people from revelation.
iii. The garment of meekness and humility.
Psalm 25:9 says,
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Arrogance or pride is an enemy of light. No proud person can have insight; one who is not ready to learn from anyone would remain in darkness perpetually.
Remember this: When you inquire of God and ask Him specific questions, He will give you light in that area.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Go through today’s reading once again.
2. Make up your mind to engage the mystery of enquiry, the attitude of joy and humility to access light.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from every form of pride and arrogance that would deprive me of accessing light. I embrace the garment of humility and joy to access light, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
