TOPIC: PROOFS OF DEDICATED PRAISE AND WORSHIP.
SCRIPTURE: This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. ISAIAH 43:21.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Worship would naturally progress into service.
A major reason for God’s creation of His people is praise (Psalm 150:6, Psalm 102:18). If we were created to praise God, fulfilling this major purpose of our creation is part of our dedication to God.
When you show God that you understand why He created you and you make up your mind to fulfil it, you are confirming your dedication to God. Now, how do you prove to God that you are dedicated to praising and worshipping Him?
It is through the lifestyle `of adoration and reverence to God (Psalm 29:2). Dedicated praise, worship is confirmed through the lifestyle of adoration and reverence to God.
1. The lifestyle of submission and surrender. A major department of dedicated praise and worship is submission and surrender to the perfect Will of God. Your human will becomes buried in Divine Will (Mark 14:36).
2. Appreciation and thanksgiving. A dedicated worshiper is one who knows how to appreciate God (Psalm 100:1).
3. The lifestyle of addicted service. Anyone who is a confirmed worshiper will be a confirmed servant. Worship would naturally progress into service (Luke 4:8).
4. The lifestyle of sacrifice. When a person is a worshiper, giving and sacrifice follow (Psalm 54:6).
5. The lifestyle of excellence. Living at your best is a department of worship (Matthew 5:16). Anything you do that brings God glory is an act of worship.
6. The lifestyle of quality character. Worship is beyond singing; your character is a department of your worship (Matthew 5:16, Isaiah 43:21). When you live right, it brings God glory. When people watch you, become convicted by your character, and give their lives to Christ, it gives God the glory.
Remember this: Worship would naturally progress into service.
