SCRIPTURE: “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.” (Matthew 25: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus told a parable of ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. These ten virgins were carriers of light, but they did not stay in one location with their light. Their light was not enough on its own. They embarked on a journey to meet the bridegroom. The light they had did not stop them from making fresh movements. They had light, but they also made movements.
Friend, I am aware that the light of God is already shining on you and through you, but by all means, make sure you are moving in 2023. Make sure that you are moving in the direction of your destiny mandate. Make sure you are moving in the direction of your fulfillment of purpose. Make sure you are moving in the direction of your rising. Make sure you are not just sitting by, watching as others move. Be on the move.
The ten virgins had a destiny appointment, and they moved in that direction. They may have had options of where to move towards, but destiny placed a demand for them to move in the direction of their destiny appointment, and they moved. In 2023, as you move, ensure that your movement is in the direction of your destiny appointments. Ensure that your light is being taken in the direction that God would have you move to.
There is a temptation for those who already have light, to sit back and simply bask in the euphoria of their light. If you are in the light but fail to move, you just might eventually end up in darkness. If you are in light but fail to grow up, you may be discounted in destiny. If the spotlight is already on you, do not imagine that the whole idea is to remain on the same level from day to day and from year to year.
Don’t be counted amongst them that simply enjoy the light but refuse to move. God will move with you if you are willing to move. Start moving already. Take up your light, and move.
Matthew 5: 16 says: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Declare With Me: In 2023, I move; I refuse to be that light that is stagnated, in Jesus’ name!
