TOPIC: NO MORE WEAKNESS
SCRIPTURE: “And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.” (1 Samuel 30: 2)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When the Amalekites invaded Ziklag, they took the women as captives. Women are the weaker vessels (see 1 Peter 3 vs. 7). They capitalized on the weakness of the women and took them captive. The weakness of the women became the ease of the bondage that the enemies of David threw at them. Their weakness made them vulnerable in the hands of the enemy. Enemies looked for whom to take, and they took the weak.

Friend, your weakness is the ease of the enemy to take you into captivity. Your area of weakness is the enemy’s open door to make a mess of your destiny. Your weak prayer life is the devil’s platform to destroy what the Lord put in your hands. Your weakness in focus is enough basis for the enemy to distract you. Any weakness you allow in your life is simply enabling the enemy to make a mess of your destiny with ease.
Notice that women were not all weak in scriptures. Deborah, the wife of Lapidoth, who judged Israel, was also a warrior; and Barak would not go to battle except Deborah joined him (see Judges 4). So there were strong women in scriptures. The women who were taken captive from David’s dwelling lacked strength, and they became negative examples of what a woman should never be. If you remain weak, you just might become a negative example of one whom the devil reduced.
Today, I pray for you: let every place of weakness be converted to strength. Receive strength in your weak places. Receive divine empowerment for every area of your life that is too weak to function. Receive restoration for every weakness in health. Receive fresh strength to conquer every battle that has come your way. Receive the strength of God in your inner man, and let that strength destroy every yoke of weakness in you.
The season when weakness was an option, is over. Arise in strength; give no room for weakness.
Habakkuk 3: 19 says: “The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
Declare With Me: I walk in strength; no more weakness, in Jesus’ name!
