TOPIC: TELLING JESUS (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 8:23-27

OUTLINE: MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 14TH MARCH 2021 TODAY SUNDAY

In 2 Chronicles 16:12, the Bible records the story of King Asa who was afflicted with a terrible disease. Instead of him to turn to Jehovah for his healing, Asa sought the help of physicians. King Asa died in his sickness. The lesson here for you as a New Testament believer is that you should tell Jesus your challenge all the time. Jesus is the High Priest of our profession that can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities.

He is our ever-present help in trouble. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to the Father through Him because He daily maketh intercession for them. Jesus is all-knowing, all-powerful and all-sufficient. In his earthly sojourn and ministry, individuals brought personal problems to him and got solutions. Parents told him the worries they had about their children and he helped them. Rulers told him their problems and got His help.

You should take a cue from this. It is not right to cry over your challenges, complain bitterly, blame God or someone else. The right thing to do is to tell Jesus your concern. The mistake many people often make, when they have any challenge, is to concentrate on telling human beings that they regard as experts and live Jesus out of the equation. What should you tell Jesus? Tell Jesus your perils or dangers.

The best person to tell when you are in danger or peril is Jesus. He will save you to the uttermost. When Peter was sinking, he shouted, “Lord save me!” Jesus did save him (Matthew 14:30). In Matthew 8:25, when the disciples observed that the ship they were sailing with Jesus in was covered by tempest and storm, they woke Jesus up and said to him, “Lord, save us: we perish.”Present your questions to Jesus (Matthew 24:3).

He has answers to all the questions about your life, career, marriage, finances, ministry, the Kingdom of God and eternity. His answer will open your understanding, give you direction and make you succeed where others fail. Are you sick? Is your child or sibling or relative or neighbour sick? Tell Jesus about it. He is the Great Physician. He is the Balm of Gilead.

On the Cross, He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. The Bible affirms that by His stripes we were healed. In Mark 1:30, the Bible records that Simon Peter’s mother’s wife was sick of fever. What did the disciples do? They told Jesus about it and he healed her. No matter what you may be passing through, tell Jesus about it now!

Memory Verse: 1 Peter 5:7 -Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Motivational Quote: Those who leave everything in God’s hands will eventually see God’s hand in everything.

Prophetic Word: I decree that the Lord whom you seek and serve day and night will turn your problems to testimonies, in the name of Jesus.
