STREAMS OF JOY DAILY DEVOTIONAL 27 APRIL 2022, WEDNESDAY
TODAY’S TOPIC: BE STRONG
SCRIPTURE: “And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.” (Mark 4: 36)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When Jesus entered a ship in a bid to move to the other side, other little ships followed. Jesus’ ship later encountered a huge storm that nearly sank the ship. Jesus’ ship faced a challenge in the middle of the sea that wanted to halt the ship. Notice that nothing was said about the little ships afterwards. Did the storm bury them? Did they sink in the sea? Did they get to the shore? Impliedly, the little ships disappeared in a matter of time.

Friend, one reason why you must never remain a small ship in destiny, is that there are storms in the sea, waiting to bury small ships. There are challenges ready to consume you if you make the mistake of remaining small. There are troubles and travails that are poised to make a mess of your destiny if you will remain small. There are tragedies you may not survive if you remain a small ship. Storms might bury you if you lack capacity.
Notice that Jesus only spoke to His disciples about passing over to the other side; He never spoke of the storm that would show up in the middle of the sea, but the storm was waiting. Unknown to you, there are future storms waiting for a chance to sink you. There are satanic enchantments waiting for a chance to make a mess of your destiny. There is spiritual wickedness that has been targeted at you, in order to stop your journey in the sea.
Build your spiritual muscles to be able to withstand the storms in the sea. Increase your prayer fire to be able to withstand the attack that may arise against you. Increase your consecration and dedication to God. Increase your love and passion for God. Increase in your walk with God. Increase your faith and dependence on God. Raise your sacrificial disposition. Stretch yourself to become more in God and more for God.
Don’t be content to remain a small ship that will not make it to the other side. Don’t be that ship that the enemy can stop easily.
Ephesians 6: 10-11 says: “10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Declare With Me: I grow in strength; I will not remain a little ship in the eyes of the Master, in Jesus’ name!
