“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts, desiring to grow in wisdom and understanding. Lord, fill us with Your Spirit so that we may discern the deep things of God. Remove every form of spiritual blindness and grant us revelation knowledge. As we study Your Word today, let the eyes of our understanding be enlightened, and may we walk in the fullness of Your truth. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Short Message:
The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 2:14, makes it clear that the things of God cannot be understood through human reasoning alone. The natural man—one who is not led by the Spirit—finds the things of God foolish because they require spiritual discernment.
Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot fully comprehend divine truths. This is why some people struggle to understand God’s ways, His word, and His purpose. Spiritual things are revealed by the Spirit, and only those who are spiritually minded can grasp them. To grow in our faith, we must seek a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to teach and guide us into all truth.
