Daily Bible Verse 5th April 2026 Today’s Insight | Revelation 1:17
“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last.” — Revelation 1:17
Today’s Insight ✨
In this powerful moment, John the Apostle encounters the glorified Jesus Christ in a divine vision. The overwhelming glory and majesty of Christ caused John to fall at His feet in awe and reverence.
This reaction shows the greatness and holiness of Jesus. When confronted with the fullness of God’s glory, human strength and pride fade away. John’s response reminds us that God’s presence is powerful, holy, and worthy of deep reverence.
Yet the most comforting part of the verse is what happens next. Jesus places His hand on John and says, “Fear not.” This shows the compassionate nature of Christ. Even though He is the eternal King and Lord of all, He still comforts and reassures His followers.
When Jesus declares, “I am the first and the last,” He reveals His eternal nature. He existed before all things and will remain forever. This truth gives believers confidence that Christ is in control of history, our present circumstances, and our future.
For believers today, this verse is both a reminder of Christ’s majesty and His personal care for us. The same Jesus who holds eternal authority also reaches out with compassion to strengthen those who trust in Him.
What This Means for Us Today 🌿
Jesus is eternal and sovereign over all things.
God’s presence should inspire reverence and humility.
Christ comforts His followers and says “Fear not.”
Believers can trust that Jesus holds their future in His hands.
Prayer for Today 🙏

When fear tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You are the First and the Last, and my life is secure in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ✨
