Beware of enemies! David knew he needed God’s help because he was aware of the presence of his enemies. Success, Satan, self and sin are the enemies that daily bombard Christians. When the enemy triumphs, we are put to shame. We need to pray like David as in vs.1‐3 to be always triumphant. Look unto the Lord! The goal of the enemy is to shift our focus from God. What can we learn from David in vs.4‐7?

God promised to guide and lead us (Psalm 32:8), but we must be willing! David prayed like Moses (read Exodus 33:13,18). It always makes a lot of difference when we are in the perfect will of God even when the situations around us are not as we desire. Put the Lord in proper perspective! Read vs.8‐10 and see how David defined his Lord.

When we place Him where He rightly belongs, and call Him by what He rightly bears, we enjoy His intervention. He is good, upright, and loving and faithful in all His ways. Meditate on this. Maintain a clear conscience! Unconfessed sins hinder prayers and create fear in a believer. Read vs.11‐22 again and see the importance of faithfulness, integrity, and uprightness in our walk with the Lord.

Practice/Word Application
