The exhortation to Titus on what to teach continues today. Read vs.1-2 and list further expectations from us as heirs of the Kingdom. Vs.3-7 humbly remind us of where we are coming from. We should never forget that we were once like people of the world before the grace of God encountered us, making us heirs of His Kingdom.
This calls for constant sober reflections (cf. Ephesians 2:1-9).
From v.8, what is the corollary of believing in God? The only way to tell the world that we believe in and belong to God is by showcasing our faith through good works (see vs.1,8, 14 and cf. Matthew 7:15-20). Read vs.9-11 and learn how to relate with irritable persons.
This wonderful epistle on practical Christian living is rounded off with a beautiful summary of the involvement of all hands in effective Christian ministry. You too must contribute to the smooth running of your Church and or Fellowship.
