OPENING PRAYER: Grant me grace dear Lord to apply what you will teach me today as I read this passage.

Take note that this is not a set of conditions to enter the sacred tent but what is expected of those who are already in it. In the Old Testament as in the New, it is not our good works that cause us to enter into the family of God but faith in His grace alone. Then, we must do good things because the good God has made us to become His children through faith.
In v.2 we read of the way of life which is “blameless,” and there follows a list of ten items describing what this means. Consider each one of the ten as an item of prayer or praise, or both, in your life as a child of God.
For example, your list may begin like this: 1. v.2 “who does what is righteous.” Thank you Lord, because Jesus Christ takes away my sins and makes me righteous in Him. I am sorry I am not always righteous in the way I deal with people. Please help me to change from now on. 2. v.2 “who speaks truth from the heart.” Lord, you know I want to speak the truth from my heart at all times. Please help me to overcome the spirit of telling small lies when I speak to people.

Closing Prayer
• Thank you Lord because the blood of Jesus makes me righteous and blameless before the throne of grace. Please enable me to live a blameless life before you day by day.
