Daily Morning Prayer with Scriptures: October 23, 2026 (Friday)

Good morning. It is Friday, the last working day for many. Before the day fills up, give the first few minutes to God. This short prayer takes about three minutes and works wherever you are: the USA, UK, Canada, Nigeria or anywhere else.

Today’s Morning Scriptures

“My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.” (Psalm 130:6, KJV)

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalm 37:4, KJV)

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Proverbs 16:3, KJV)

A Quick Thought

A night watchman knows morning will come, and waits with hope. You can start your Friday in the same way: trusting that God is faithful, whether or not the answer has arrived.

Today’s Morning Prayer

Praise

Lord, thank You for this Friday morning. I enjoy Your presence before I ask for anything.

Delight

Be my greatest joy today. Shape my desires so that they line up with Your good will.

Commitment

Father, I commit my work, my plans and my unfinished tasks to You. Establish my thoughts and give me peace about what I cannot finish.

Rest and Patience

Teach me to wait without fretting. Quiet my urge to compare myself with others or to rush ahead of You.

Protection

Cover my family, my home and everyone travelling or gathering this weekend. Keep us safe.

Provision and Favour

Meet my needs today, and let Your favour go before me in every conversation and decision.

Others

Show me one person I can bless before the weekend begins, with a message, a call or practical help.

A Short Declaration to Speak Aloud

I delight in the Lord and I commit my way to Him. He is faithful, and He will bring it to pass.

Closing Prayer

Thank You, Father, for hearing me. I walk into this Friday trusting You with everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Morning Action Step

Spend two minutes thanking God for who He is, with no requests. Then write down one plan to commit to Him.
