STREAMS OF JOY 13 AUGUST 2021 FRIDAY DEVOTIONAL
TOPIC: GREATER IS COMING
SCRIPTURE: “Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?” (1 Samuel 10: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Saul went in search of his father’s asses when he met Samuel and was taken through a journey that took him to the throne. He was searching for what was missing when a bigger offer came his way. He was searching for his father’s possessions when he came face to face with a new position he never bargained for. What he was looking for was small, but he found something bigger.
Friend, you may have made up your mind on what your expectations are, but hear me as I hear the Lord: something bigger is coming your way. Your portion shall be bigger than you planned for; your portion shall exceed your expectations; you shall gain what you never even bargained for; you shall have resources that will exceed your expectations; you shall meet bigger things you never imagined would come your way.
Get set: greater opportunities are coming your way; bigger helpers of destiny are showing up on your behalf; greater doors and gates are opening to you; your testimonies shall be bigger than ever before; your exploits shall be greater than past exploits; your achievements shall be greater than you have ever achieved in time past; your results shall be more than you have ever had; your portion shall be more than your past portions.
Saul was on a smaller assignment when a bigger level located him. He was doing the much that was bestowed on him, when what he didn’t bargain for came his way. Never make the mistake of taking your small assignments for granted. Never play with your river when it seems not to have a name. Never look down on that assignment that has no potential for fame or greatness. As you seek the asses, kingship shall emerge.
When Jehovah is involved, your package turns out bigger and better than you ever imagined. Get set for something bigger and better. The greater is coming.
Psalm 23: 5 says: “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
