Today’s Topic: Watch God Show Out
Scripture: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” – Joshua 1:8, NIV

Today’s Word
Are negative thoughts limiting your future? Take inventory of what’s playing over and over in your mind. You have to carefully evaluate the thoughts that are negative and holding you back, then delete them. God will do what He promises, but you have to get in agreement with what He says in His Word. Before you go to the next level, the enemy will send negative thoughts to try to hold you back—“you can’t do it,” “you won’t get well,” “you’ll never defeat that addiction,” “you’ll never get the promotion.”

There will be these defining moments. What you do with the negative thoughts will determine whether you step into your greatness or whether you shrink back in fear. Pass that test. Start refusing negative thoughts. Don’t let the negative words that people speak over you determine your future. Don’t let what an “expert” said cause you to live in doubt. Don’t let your own thoughts talk you out of what God put in your heart. Believe His Word and watch how God shows out in your life.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for Your Word and for the abundance of Your promises. Thank You that Your thoughts have the power to encourage, empower, and build me up in the faith. I declare that I will not allow negative thoughts to play again and again in my mind. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: The Scripture says, “It is better to obey God than to obey people.” There will be these times when you have to make a decision, “Am I going to stick with my convictions, am I going to be who God made me to be, or am I going to let the approval of people, am I going to let their opinion determine my destiny?” If you suffer from approval addiction, if you’re not confident in who you are and you need people to validate you, you’ll always shrink back and let them control your future.

But for what God has for you, it’s going to take boldness. He’s going to take you where no one in your family has gone. You’re going to be a pioneer, a trend setter. Everyone won’t understand; everyone won’t approve of you. You may have critics, people that try to discredit. The ones who used to cheer you on, now they’re finding fault. That’s when you have to dig your heels in and say, “I’m not moved by who’s not for me.” Jesus told the religious leaders in John 5, “Your disapproval means nothing to Me.” He wasn’t dependent on who liked Him, who didn’t support Him, who used to be for Him. He got his approval from His Heavenly Father.
