Joel Osteen Devotional 23 July 2025 Inspirational Wednesday Message
Today’s Topic: Be Prepared
Scripture: Be prepared in season and out of season. – 2 Timothy 4:2, NIV
Today’s Word
When Paul told Timothy to “be prepared in season and out of season,” he was talking about ministering, but the principle is true when you’re waiting for God to do something. Stay prepared in your mind in season, when things are going your way, and out of season, when the medical report is not good, when your business slows down. Don’t live discouraged and put God in a box that limits how He does it. Don’t tell Him how or when to do it. No, get ready for God to show up out of season. God knows how to bring what you need.
The odds may be against you, and you don’t see any sign of things changing. God is asking you what He asked Moses in Numbers 11: “Is there any limit to My power? Do you think the conditions can hold Me back? Do you think the seasons can stop Me from doing what I want to do?” Take the limits off God. Start expecting, start believing. Don’t be surprised when God shows up when you don’t see Him coming.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You have never lost any of Your power, and You control the seasons and bring Your blessings to me in Your own way and Your own timing. When it looks too big for me, I know that with You all things are possible. I believe that You are not limited by any unfavorable conditions that I face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: Here’s the beauty: God doesn’t have to bring you out of the desert to bless you. He doesn’t have to take you to another location, change your job, move people out of the way, give you a different medical team, so you can find refreshing, find healing, find peace. He can bless you in the desert. God said in Isaiah 41, “I will open rivers in the desolate heights. I will make fountains in the valleys. The wilderness a pool of water, and streams in the barren places.” “Joel, I’m in the desert, stuck in this valley. In this low place, overlooked, left out.” You’re right where God works. Keep declaring God’s promises. Keep thanking Him that it’s changing. Keep expecting fountains to spring up.
