Joel Osteen Devotional 26 June 2025 Inspirational Thursday Message
Today’s Topic: You’re Not Limited by Your Background
Scripture: “Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:14, NLT
Today’s Word
Most of the greatest leaders in the Bible didn’t come from prominence. Esther was a Jewish orphan girl who had been taken into exile and was living in Persia. All the odds were against her ever doing anything significant, but God caused things to fall into place and she became the queen of King Xerxes. It was not just for her sake, though. She was strategically put there to help save the Israelites from a plot to destroy them. God is raising up a new generation of Esthers.
It’s not going to happen just because of your talent, your ability, or your background. It’s the favor of God. It’s His divine purpose. Your part is to honor Him, to keep Him first place. When you’re being your best where you are, you’re proving to God that He can trust you. When you’re being faithful, determined, developing your skills, and helping others, God will take you higher than you’ve imagined. Stir your faith up, believe big, pray bold prayers, and dream God-sized dreams. He’s going to put you in strategic positions to affect the culture.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You are Almighty God and the power of Your favor is working in my life. Thank You for the opportunities You will bring my way to step into ‘such a time as this’ moments and fulfill my purpose. I declare that I will use Your favor to advance Your kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: The Scripture talks about how the enemy lives in darkness. Anything we keep in the dark is in the enemy’s territory. As long as it’s hidden, he has the authority in that area. The darkness, covered up, that’s his domain. But 1 John 1 says, “If you walk in the light, as God is in the light, then the blood of His Son Jesus purifies us from all sin.” When you bring into the light what you’re struggling with, you come into God’s territory. In the light, when you’re open and honest, forces of darkness cannot hold you back.
That’s why the enemy works so hard with shame, guilt, what people are going to think, how our image is going to be affected. He’ll whisper, “You’ve got to hide that struggle. Don’t let people see your weakness. Pretend like you’re okay. Act like you’re strong. Play like you have it all together.” Those are tricks to keep you from coming into the light. In the light, there’s freedom. In the light, there’s deliverance, there’s wholeness, there’s victory. The enemy will tell you just the opposite. “You’ll be looked down on, ashamed.” In the light, there is no condemnation. There is mercy for mistakes. There is forgiveness. There are new beginnings. No more covering it up. Get out of the enemy’s domain and come into God’s territory.
