Today’s Topic: Locked Doors Are Not a Problem
Scripture: They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. “Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.” – Acts 5:18–20, NIV

Today’s Word
The religious authorities in Jerusalem thought they could stop the miracles and the great crowds of people who were coming to faith by arresting the apostles and putting them in prison. But God sent an angel to open the securely locked doors, and the apostles continued to deliver the good news despite the opposition. It may look as though a door has been locked on your health, your dream, your career, your education, or a relationship. That door may have been closed a long time.

Every circumstance says, “It’s too late. It’s never going to open.” Just smile and say, “That door is not a problem for God. He can make a way where I don’t see a way. Closed doors can’t stop what He wants to do for me and through me.” You need to get ready.

You’re about to see God show out in your life. He’s going to make things happen that you could never make happen. One touch of His favor, one good break, one right person, one contract, one idea, and you’ll be thrust to a new level.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You’re not limited by doors that have been locked for a long time. Thank You that other people and circumstances cannot keep me from what You have ordained for me. I believe that You are opening the right doors, and that You will take me where I’ve never been. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: The Scripture says, “God gave Mary uncommon favor to conceive and give birth to the Messiah.” Mary could have never planned that. No one had ever had a baby without a man; that wasn’t possible. But when God puts a dream in your heart, He will give you the favor you need to bring it to pass. There will be times when what you’re facing looks impossible. There’s no way in the natural.

Nothing more you can do. This is when God will step in with uncommon favor: something that you couldn’t plan, talent that you didn’t know you had, a door supernaturally opens, the right person tracks you down. Now quit worrying about how it’s going to happen, losing sleep over what you don’t have, how the odds are against you. One touch of God’s favor will turn any situation around. The reason it looks impossible is because what’s coming is uncommon. You haven’t seen this favor before. It’s out of the ordinary. It’s going to catapult you ahead.

You can’t have faith if you don’t first have hope. “What if I believe this and it doesn’t happen?” What if you believe it and it does happen? If you don’t believe and you go around negative, doubting, thinking, “My problems are too big. I’ll never meet the right person. I’ve gone as far as I can.” Then you’ll probably get stuck. You have to give God something to work with. Faith is what gets His attention. Dare to say, “God, show out in my life this year. Do something uncommon, out of the ordinary, that leaves me astounded, astonished, in awe of your goodness.”
