Joel Osteen Devotional Message 31st December 2023 Sunday

Today’s Joel Osteen Daily Devotional for Saturday 31st December 2023 written by Joel & Victoria Osteen. God bless you as you study!

Today’s Topic: Applause

Today’s Scripture: John 5:41, NLT “Your approval means nothing to me.”

Today’s Word – Joel Osteen

Other than His Father in heaven, Jesus Christ never looked to anyone—not to the religious leaders, not to His family, not to His disciples or the crowds—for His approval. He would not allow what others said or thought about Him to determine who He was or to stop His purpose.

Living to gain other people’s approval, trying to impress them and win their praise, may feed our ego but it’s a dead-end street. Achieving more is nice, but it’s not going to make you more valuable. Your income may increase, but your value is not going to increase. Don’t get baited into being competitive, trying to outperform, thinking that’s going to give you more worth.

Proving to others that you’re talented and successful may make you feel good, but what people think about you doesn’t determine your destiny. Promotion is not going to come from the person you impress. They don’t open doors, they don’t part Red Seas, and they don’t line up favor and divine connections. Live for God’s applause, not people’s.

Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life to help me move to my destiny. Help me to not become dependent upon their approval or try to get my value from them. I declare that I have Your applause and love and that’s all I need. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
