John Hagee Today’s Scripture: John 2:10

And he said to him, ‘Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!

By all accounts, this year has seen its share of tragedy and trials. If you are exhausted and disheartened, invite Jesus into the situation. His presence changes everything – even when our circumstances do not.

When He was born, humble shepherds came to pay homage. Wise men traveled from the East with camels loaded down with priceless treasures for the tiny King. When He was twelve, He stole away to dazzle the most brilliant theological minds in Israel with His unusual understanding of the scriptures.

When a wedding disaster threatened the reputation and dignity of His friends, He turned water into wine and gladdened the celebration. In fact, He saved the best for last! His presence makes things better.

When He shows up, dead things come to life. Fear yields to hope. Disease yields to health. Poverty yields to prosperity. Depression yields to joy. Gloom gives way to glory. As the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, when He roars, victory comes.

As we prepare to turn the calendars to a new year, cast all your cares and anxieties on Jesus. Walk fearlessly into a new year filled with His hope and promises. Perhaps, He has saved the best ‘til now.

Today’s Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. In spite of struggles and sadness, lift your head and rejoice. Your King waits in the new year, and the best is yet to be.
