ABOUT: Pastor John Charles Hagee (born April 12, 1940, in Baytown, Texas) is the founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church, a non-denominational evangelical megachurch based in San Antonio, Texas. With over 60 years in gospel ministry, he holds Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Biblical Studies, and a Master’s in Educational Administration. He also has multiple honorary doctorates. He leads Cornerstone Church, which he founded in 1975 (originally as “The Church at Castle Hills”) and renamed in 1987. Today, the church hosts more than 22,000 active members across multiple services each Sunday.The congregation embraces Pentecostal beliefs—including biblical literalism, speaking in tongues, divine healing, prosperity teaching, and strong anti‑abortion positions.
Hagee is also the president and CEO of John Hagee Ministries, which broadcasts his sermons via television and radio into millions of homes across the U.S. and around the world. He has authored over 40 books (with several New York Times bestsellers) and is the founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the largest pro‑Israel Christian Zionist advocacy group in the U.S., boasting over 10 million members.
