TODAY’S TOPIC: STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS

MEMORY VERSE: “For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.” – Luke 1:48

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: Never insult a crocodile until you have crossed the river. Never underrate anyone. Never write off any child of God. Always obtain divine confirmation before throwing any one away.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 39:21-23 (KJV)

21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.

23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: ANYWHERE THERE IS HARDSHIP, THOSE THAT THEIR PROSPERITY HAVE BEEN DIVERTED, THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN USED AS FOOT MAT BY THE ENEMIES, THOSE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AMONG THE RICHEST PEOPLE BUT FOR SOME STRANGE REASONS, THE ENEMY HAS STOLEN FROM THEM, LET THE POWER OF THE GOD OF ELIJAH FALL UPON THEM NOW AND LET THEM BE SET FREE IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE: MFM Daily Devotional 10th May 2020

What you allow oftentimes may end up becoming what you will suffer from. You must come with a holy rebellion against every satanic work so as to recover or claim your right. This type of rebellion is good. There is also negative rebellion like the experience that we had during my school days.

During a particular term, some of my colleagues decided to stage a coup against one student-teacher. My protests not to stage the coup did not count, as I was voted out. In those days, when student-teachers are on teaching practice, their inspectors sometimes stood by the window of their classroom to observe how they were going about their teaching.

The observer this time was a white man. The mischievous students got ready for this teacher. They were following the lesson and co-operating with the teacher until the white man turned up. It was then that they carried out their plan. The teacher said, “Boys, my boss is by the door, you stand up and greet him.” None of them stood up. He asked, “Are you deaf?” One of them said, “Your father is deaf.” He felt insulted and took a whip and said, “Stand up, all of you.”

The first boy that he tried to beat took the whip from him, cut it to pieces and ran away. The other students ran out to call the principal. Before the principal came, they had started to sing, “We don’t want him, he should go. All we are saying is: he must go.” That is what we call demonic rebellion. We are not talking about this type of rebellion but one targeted at satanic works.

When you are constantly getting worried about a particular problem, it shows that you are the servant of the problem, not its master. If you are feeling that the situation will never come to an end, then you become the servant of the problem.

If the problem becomes your major pre-occupation and is ordering you around as a military commander, it has become your master. If you are involved in ungodly things, the problem has become your master. Some people come for prayers, but when the desired solution does not come as quickly as envisaged, they backslide.

The truth is that the problem has become their master and its servants. You have to carry out a spiritual coup today. You must overthrow the king in charge of your problem, by disagreeing with the obstacle that you have been accommodating for long.
