TOPIC FOR MAY 15: THE POWER OF HUMILITY (II)

Fire Scripture
Philippians 2:5 – 11

MFM Daily Devotional 15th May 2021 Outline
Jesus Christ, our Saviour, humbled Himself in so many ways. If you are a good reader of the Bible, there were so many occasions that Jesus was provoked by enemies in the Pharisees and Saducees and yet He never uttered any word of anger against any of them.

He was King, yet He came in human form and never made claim to any royalty. He never slept in any different place from His disciples; they had everything common, ate the same food, wore the same clothes, mingled together, that it took a Judas to point Him out of the council. What other example do we need to show that humility is the way to go?

As a true Christian, humility is the first thing people see in you: the way you talk, the way you relate with people, the way you carry yourself. It is true that action speaks louder than words. To be the child of God that you are without pretense, humility must be clearly written on you.

Today’s MFM Daily Devotional 15 May 2021 Saturday

But what do we have or see today, anyone with any little achievement will begin to behave in a manner unbefitting of a true child of God. Beloved, God is in need of humble people. He needs men like Moses that He can clearly beat His chest for and fight for (Number12: 2 –13). Moses was a shining example of humility.

That is why God’s anger rose against Aaron and Miriam on account of their rebellion against Moses.

Beloved, humility will make you the apple of God’s eye. It will make life easy for you. God is waiting for you. Come to Him today

Memory Verse: Phil. 2:7 – “But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.”

Motivational Quote: Humility will make you the apple of God’s eyes.

Prophetic Word: Let every garment of pride upon your life catch fire, in the name of Jesus.

HYMN: Whither, pilgrims, are you going

1. Whither, pilgrims, are you going,
Going each with staff in hand?
We are going on a journey,
Going at our King’s command,
Over hills and plains and valleys,
We are going to His palace,
We are going to His palace,
Going to the better land;
We are going to His palace,
Going to the better land.

2. Tell us, pilgrims, what you hope for
In that faroff, better land?
Spotless robes, and crowns of glory,
From a Saviour’s loving hand,
We shall drink of life’s clear river,
We shall dwell with God for ever,
We shall dwell with God for ever,
In that bright, that better land,
We shall dwell with God for ever,
In that bright, that better land
