MFM 16 JULY 2021 DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR FRIDAY

TOPIC: FIRST FRUIT OF YOUR DAY

Fire Scripture: Mark 1:35-37

MFM Daily Devotional 16th July 2021 Outline

Do you give God the first fruit of your day? The first fruit of the day refers to the first hours of the day when you have not done anything. For Christians, you must be thanking God for the gift of the day and ask for grace to live the new day. We often call it morning devotions. If morning devotion was important to Jesus and David, it should also be important to you, if not more for your spiritual sustenance.

Morning is an excellent time to seek the Lord. If you earnestly seek for the will of God for your life in the morning you will not stumble during the day. Having communication with God in the morning is telling God that He is the most important in your life and you will give Him the first fruit of your day. If you allow God to have the first fruit of your day, He will make the rest of your day wonderful. If you wait till later to have devotions with your Father, it is mostly likely you will get pushed out of the prosperity of the day.

Jesus shows us the importance of morning devotions with God despite his busy schedules. You should learn to put God first in your life. Jesus was seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness. This is made possible by what you think about. What you think about, you become. Starting each day with praise and worship, reading and meditating in the word of God becomes easier for you to live a righteous life for the rest of the day.

Handing over your life to God in the morning makes your day effective and fruitful, for without God, you can do nothing (John 15:5-7). Giving your first hours of the day to God is a great kingdom lifestyle you should cultivate. Jesus always focussed on the Father and accomplishing God’s will for His life. You must learn to fear God and put Him first in all your plans. In the fear of the Lord are honour, riches and life (Psalm 112:1-2). Morning devotion is where you can find direction, inspiration and comfort in times of need.

Memory Verse: Luke 18:1 – And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Motivational Quote: The shortening of private devotions starves the soul.

MFM Daily Devotional Prophetic Word: As you mak God first in all your affairs, heaven will begin to do new things in your life from today, in the name of Jesus.

Hymn: Holy, holy, holy!

1. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning Our song shall rise to Thee:
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

2. Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim Falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

3. Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art to holy there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in pow’r, in love and purity
