TOPIC: CALEB’S VICTORIOUS FAITH (II)

Fire Scripture: Heb. 11:1-11

TODAY’S OUTLINE: MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 19TH APRIL 2021

Without faith, there is no meaningful thing you can get from God. If you come to God, you must believe that He is able to do what you want from Him. Our faith in Him gladdens His heart and He can do more than we expect. In Eph. 3:20, the Bible says, “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Caleb’s stand and report can be likened to the above scriptures.

Just like Abraham in Gen. 15:6 who believed in the Lord and it was counted unto him for righteousness. In the Old Testament, faith implied two things: trust in or reliance on God and loyalty or faithfulness to Him. Caleb saw the Promised Land they went to spy like the other ten spies, but he also remembered that God started them out with a great deliverance in Egypt and at the Red Sea, when all hope seemed to be lost.

He saw the giants as meat for the Israelites and not the other way round. As a result of this, he was preserved. Without faith in God, you will become a prey to the enemy. Without faith in God’s promises, you will be a victim all the days of your life and even lose what you have already received. Are you ready to be courageous like Caleb? Then the Promised Land is your starting point.

God is willing to preserve you until that promise you believe in comes to pass. The fear and negative report of the ten spies robbed them entry into the Promised Land while the victorious faith of Caleb gave Him access to the Promised Land. Beloved, get rid of fear and the grasshopper mentality today. They are counter-productive. They will rob you of the needed strength and courage to forge ahead and succeed.

They will fill you with discouragement and birth failure. Rather, embrace the victorious faith of Caleb. Since God has spoken and given you His promise, believe that you can do it. You can possess that possession. Believe also that, though giants may be on your way to hinder you, God is with you and will surely give you victory.

Memory Verse: Heb. 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Motivational Quote: Faith consists of believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe.

Prophetic Word: When you open your two hands in faith, you will receive dumbfounding blessings, in the name of Jesus.

HYMN: Begone, Unbelief; My Saviour is Near

1. Begone, unbelief; My Saviour is near, And for my relief will surely appear:
By prayer let me wrestle, and He will perform;
With Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm.

2. Though dark be my way, since He is my Guide,
‘Tis mine to obey, ’tis His to provide;
Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail,
The word He hath spoken shall surely prevail.

3. His love in time past forbids me to think
He’ll leave me at last in trouble to sink;
While each Ebenezer I have in review
Confirms His good pleasure to help me quite through.

4. Why should I complain of want or distress,
Temptation or pain? He told me no less;
The heirs of salvation, I know from His word,
Through much tribulation must follow their Lord.

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Heaven over my destiny, open by fire, in the name of Jesus. 2. Spirit of fear, I bind and cast you out of my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. I reject the grass hopper mentality, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Any evil occupant in the land of my inheritance, come out and die in the name of Jesus.
5. I receive the victorious faith of Caleb, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, give me the faith that never waivers, in the name of Jesus.
7. I shall get to my Promised Land, whether the enemy likes it or not, in the name of Jesus.
