Praise & Worship

The precious promises of God we examined so far are exclusively for believers. They are not for sinners and God’s enemies. So if you want to laugh at famine, make God keep you alive in famine, live in abundance in famine and be rich in spite of the extreme lack others experience, here are what you should do.

First, you must know God, befriend Him and walk with Him. If you don’t have a personal relationship with God, you cannot enjoy all these promises. I advise you to give your life to Christ and become His son or daughter. The power to flourish and do great exploits in the face of famine will be yours. Daniel 11:32 says that those who know their God shall be strong and they shall do exploits. Sinners are bound to dwell in dry land and suffer abject poverty. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. The choice is yours!

Second, you must have the knowledge of the covenant between you and God. His covenant will speak and work for you if you know and understand it. Isaac sowed in Gerar and reaped a hundredfold during famine because he knew and understood the covenant between God and his father, Abraham, as well as between God and himself. He could not be stranded; what hurt and killed others could not hurt nor kill him. He flourished to the amazement of others!

Finally, you must rely on God and His wisdom. Many people have tried to run their lives on the wisdom of this world. They have always failed and experienced disappointment. Joseph depended on God throughout his travails and after God had elevated him. His faith in God did not waver at any time. We should borrow a leaf from him. In interpreting Pharaoh’s dream, he depended on the wisdom of God and gave all the glory to God, “God will give Pharaoh an interpretation of his dream.

If you must laugh at famine and be kept alive in famine, if you must be abundantly blessed and flourish in famine, you must have absolute faith in God, depend on Him and His wisdom and obey Him in all things. I pray that God will bless you and surround you with His favour, in Jesus’ name.
