MFM DEVOTIONAL FOR 9TH JUNE 2022 SATURDAY
TOPIC: AWAKE THOU THAT SLEEPEST (II)
Fire Scripture: Ephesians 5:13-17
Memory Verse: Ephesians 5:14 – “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”
Motivational Quote: People, who by nature are asleep and separated from God, must wake up, put their faith in Jesus Christ, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Prophetic Word: Every arrow of slumber sent by the enemy to your life, shall go back to the sender, in the name of Jesus.
MFM Devotional for 11th June 2022 Saturday Outline
Being a sleeper implies that a person lives in complete darkness. It is when a person lives in sickness and he thinks he is in perfect health. It is to seek how to please the world more than one can please God. A sleeper is selfish and very proud and has no regard for the things of God. He or she is over familiar with God. An example of this can be seen in Samson from the Bible. He had the qualities of those who are spiritually asleep.
He was proud and didn’t listen to the counsel of his parent. He loved the world and wanted to please the world more than God. This landed him in serious trouble and he wasn’t the same after that again. He became vulnerable to his enemies.
They ridiculed his life, stripped him of his glorious power and made him disabled for life (gouged out his eyes). This made his glorious life to be wasted and cut short. Oh, what a tragedy! The dangers of being spiritually asleep can make people end up like Samson or even worse. It can bring a person from grace to grass. Worse of all, it can make the wrath of God fall upon a person. And when the wrath of God is upon a person, nothing can deliver him or her.
Beloved, let us all humbly go to God on our knees and beg Him to have mercy upon us and deliver us from spiritual slumber. Let us take God seriously, so that He can take us seriously. Let us practise holiness within and without, by obeying His words, reading His words and talking to Him day and night. When we do this, God’s light will automatically shine upon us and anything we lay our hands upon will prosper. May God wake us up from every spiritual slumber. Amen.

MORNING
1. O God, arise and have mercy upon me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Let the resurrection power of God flow into my life and raise up every dead thing in my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. Let your revival fire fall upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. By the power in the blood of Jesus, I destroy every evil slumber in my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God, arise and destroy every evil plantation in my life, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every spirit of the end times pushing my life backwards, die, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God, prepare me for Your second coming, in the name of Jesus.
