STREAMS OF JOY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 21ST JULY 2024

TODAY’S TOPIC: CONSISTENT CONFESSION

SCRIPTURE: “This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” (1 Samuel 17: 46)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When David came to the battlefield, he began asking about what would be done to the person who kills Goliath. David had the opportunity to speak to Saul, and he reaffirmed that he would make Goliath like the lion and the bear whom he slew in the bush (see vs. 36). David eventually came face to face with Goliath, and he declared that he would cut off Goliath’s head. David’s confession in the face of Goliath was consistent.

Friend, no matter the circumstance, be consistent with your confession. No matter how the enemy squares up against you, keep speaking your convictions. Keep speaking in faith. Keep declaring what you want to see. Keep proclaiming the word of the Lord concerning you. Keep insisting that everything will work in your favour. Keep declaring that the gates of hell will not prevail. Keep declaring that the enemy will go down while you go up.

David confessed victory while he spoke with Eliab; he declared victory when he spoke to Saul, and he insisted on victory when he came face to face with Goliath. In a moment when fear could have changed his confession, he kept confessing consistently. It may seem convenient to change your confession when faced with the reality of your ‘Goliath’, but dare to keep speaking right. Keep saying what God says about you.

David’s consistent confession of faith was eventually followed by victory over Goliath. He eventually carried the evidence of his confession. He moved from consistent confession to mega results. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your consistent confession will lead to mega results. Your consistent confession will be met with the help of heaven. As you decree, the Lord will cause it to come to pass. Your confession will lead to manifestation.

Don’t allow the enemy make you change your confession. If God says it, then believe it and declare it and it will come to pass.

Hebrews 10: 23 says: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”

Declare With Me: I will keep confessing in faith; my confession will lead to manifestation, in Jesus’ name!
