TODAY’S TOPIC: NOT BY APPEARANCE
SCRIPTURE: “And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.” (1 Samuel 17: 4)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture introduces Goliath as the champion from Gath. Subsequent verses of our Scripture Reading elaborately described the armor of Goliath. Goliath was mostly covered with metal armor. He appeared mostly covered. Notice that the name ‘Goliath’ means ‘uncovered’. So his appearance seemed covered but his identity was uncovered. Goliath appeared complex and complicated, but his identity was ‘uncovered’.
Friend, every situation that seems complicated and complex, I decree, let it be uncovered. Let every complex challenge be uncovered. Let every difficult situation be uncovered. Let every battle that seems complicated be uncovered. Let every conspiracy against you be uncovered. Let every plot of the enemy against you be uncovered. Let everything that is working against you be uncovered. Let every ‘Goliath’ be uncovered.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: let your favour be uncovered. Let your divine provision be uncovered. Let your elevation and breakthroughs be uncovered. Let your congratulations be uncovered. Let your rising be uncovered. Let your greatness be uncovered. Let your true identity in Christ be uncovered. Let the plan and purpose of God for you be uncovered. Let the help of God released to you be uncovered.
The Lord has made arrangements for your victory. The Lord will announce you through that same Goliath that seems complicated. The Lord will cause you to triumph over every arrangement of hell standing against you. The Lord will cause everything that appears too big for you to handle, to come under your feet. God will empower you to comprehensively defeat and extinguish that Goliath that is currently covered against you.
Goliath was covered, but because his identity was uncovered, the stone of David brought him down. No matter how big your ‘Goliath’ looks, he is coming down under your feet.
Romans 16: 20 says: “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”
