Today’s Topic: The Passover!

Outline For Scripture Union Daily Guide 11 February 2023

Today’s passage contains instructions for immediate and future actions. The Passover night was going to be the beginning of a special history the people would live to remember throughout their entire life and existence as a nation (vs.1-2). Study carefully how the people should observe the event (vs.3-4), the quality of the lamb to be used (v.5), and its preparation (vs.6-10). Special instructions were given on how to eat the special meal, with special dressing for their final exit from the land of slavery (v.11). Memorize vs.12-13.

The event would foreshadow how God would later sacrifice His only Son for the release of the whole world from the bondage to sin (Mark 14:17-26). Read and meditate on vs.14-20 and note what the Church should still celebrate today and what she should not. In 1 Corinthians 11:23-34, Apostle Paul sheds light on how the Church should observe the Passover feast (the Lord’s Supper).

As the Israelites were commanded to observe the Passover yearly, forever, the Church is commanded to observe the feast of Holy Communion till Christ comes back. How often do you partake of this solemn service in your local Church?

► All plans made to rig the election. Pray that the Lord will expose them.
► Every wicked plan to buy votes, or make people compromise their stands.
