Scripture Union Daily Guide 15th March 2026 – Outline
In our contemporary world, things that cause worry and anxiety abound. Many nations both developed and under-developed are going through harsh economic situations, violence and crimes. In many countries of Africa poverty, poor health, food shortage, insurgency, bad governance, etc., are daily realities. Christ Jesus tells His disciples, “Do not be anxious about your life” (Luke 12:22).
What two simple examples did Jesus give to press home His point in Luke 12:24-25,27-28? Note that this does not mean sitting down and doing nothing, expecting manna from heaven. Rather it means that while we do our best, we should not allow the difficulties in our surroundings to make us worry and despair. We should remember that, if God cares for the birds and the wild plants, he cares for us far more than we can imagine because we are very valuable to him.
What are believers encouraged to do instead of worrying (Luke 12:31)? When we delight ourselves in God and make his Kingdom our priority, he will supply our needs (See Psalms 37:4-5).
Read Luke 12:32-34 again. In what ways can we save our treasure in heaven?
And So
Stop worrying. Keep trusting the Lord!
Insight

Faint not, Christian!
1. Faint not, Christian! though the road
Leading to thy blest abode
Darksome be, and dangerous, too;
Christ thy guide will bring thee through.
2. Faint not, Christian! though in rage
Satan would thy soul engage;
Gird on faith’s anointed shield,
Bear it to the battlefield.
3. Faint not, Christian! though the world
Has its hostile flag unfurled;
Hold the cross of Jesus fast—
Thou shalt overcome at last.
4. Faint not, Christian! though within
There’s a heart so prone to sin;
Christ the Lord is over all;
He’ll not suffer thee to fall.
5. Faint not, Christian! though thy God
Smite thee with His chastening rod;
Smite He must, with father’s care,
That He may His love declare.
6. Faint not, Christian! Jesus’ near,
Soon in glory He’ll appear;
And His love will then bestow
Power over every foe.
7. Faint not, Christian! look on high,
See the harpers in the sky;
Patient wait, and thou wilt join—
Chant with them of love divine.
Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus, please help your people in the wake of the hardships not to fear but rather trust you for their daily needs.
