Speaking honestly, if there was one thing you would willingly die for, what would it be? Paul, a man who had gone through turbulent experiences in life and had had an encounter with God knew the value of a changed life. He was not ashamed to tell others about the transformation that had taken place in his life. He was bold enough to stand firm for his Lord instead of compromising his faith. Note Paul’s testimony in vs.21‐22.
God’s intervention in his life gave him more opportunity to preach and he seized every such opportunity to preach to this audience including Agrippa. In response to Festus’ interruption, Paul challenged Agrippa to identify with his message. Even socially important people need salvation. After Agrippa’s response, Paul challenged all his hearers to believe in Jesus like he did. At least they were convinced that Paul had no case to answer and could be set free had he not appealed to Caesar. But where would he have been had he not made the appeal earlier?
