TOPIC: THE PURPOSE OF FINANCIAL BLESSING
SCRIPTURE: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Ephesians 1:11
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God gives us financial blessings as a church to control His resources on Earth.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that our God is the God of plan and purpose. He does all things according to the counsel of His purpose or the counsel of His will. God does not act aimlessly.
So, there is a purpose for the money God gives to His people. There is a reason He gives financial Blessings to His people. Seeds of Destiny 2nd October 2022
The question then is: what is the purpose of financial blessing? Why does God empower His people with wealth?
i. To control His Resources on Earth.
God gives us financial blessings as a church to control His resources on Earth. He gives us the power to get wealth so we could be the ones to control the resources of the earth (Deuteronomy 8:18).
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1). Silver and gold belong to our God (Haggai 2:8-9). Every beast of the forest, as well as the cattle on a thousand hills belongs to God (Psalm 50:10-12). So, all things belong to God, our Father. And so, it is appropriate for us to be in charge of what belongs to our Father.
In the Book of Genesis 1:28, we see that God created us for dominion, to be in charge of everything He created on earth.
It is totally inappropriate for the enemies of your father to be in charge of His property. It is terribly wrong for the enemies of God to be in command of the wealth of God. When the enemies of God are in charge of His wealth, they use it to sponsor terrorism, kidnapping, ritual killing, drug trafficking, etc.
That is why you must make up your mind to be in charge of the resources of God on Earth.
Remember this: God gives us financial blessings as a church to control His resources on Earth.

1. Refuse to allow unbelievers control the wealth of your Heavenly Father.
2. Take full responsibility in controlling the wealth of Your Heavenly Father by engaging in creative, productive and wealth-generating endeavours.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me the purpose of prosperity. I ask for the grace to control Your wealth for the expansion of the Kingdom, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
