TOPIC: NOT AT THE MERCY OF HUMAN OPINION
SCRIPTURE: But when God, who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man, Galatians 1:15-16 (NIV).
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your destiny is not at the mercy of people’s opinion or thinking.
It is very important to know that your destiny is not at the mercy of people’s opinion or thinking. Your destiny is at the mercy of your Creator who wonderfully and fearfully created you (Psalms 139:14). Many people don’t rise in life because they allow people’s opinion, which is contrary to the Will of God override God’s opinion for their lives.
One day, while I was a student in the university, I was singing a song and then, a young man came to me and said, “I haven’t heard a voice as bad as yours. Don’t bother singing. Your voice is not good.”
I looked at him. I didn’t answer him because that was his inaccurate and inconsequential human opinion. That was not the opinion of God. He was not aware of what God put inside of me. So, I refused to listen to him; I continued singing and worshipping my Creator.
You see, if I had listened to him, all the songs that God has graciously given me today which are blessing nations across the world would not have come out. You wouldn’t have heard them.
What you should know is, most times, precious treasures and resources are not on the surface. Crude Oil is not on the surface. Gold is not on the surface. So, what you see about most people is their surface. You have not entered their depth to see what is inside.
Beloved, make up your mind not to leave your life and destiny at the mercy of human opinions and decisions.
Remember this: Your destiny is not at the mercy of people’s opinion or thinking.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Reject every opinion, thought or proposition of men about your life and destiny that are contrary to God’s Will for your life.
2. Focus only on God’s Word and Will about your life and fulfil it.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You show me Your Will, Purpose and Word for my life. I receive the grace to focus on them and reject negative opinions about me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
