Seeds of Destiny Today 29th August 2025 – Daily Devotional Message & Prayer
TOPIC: BE STILL.
SCRIPTURE: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. PSALM 46:10-11
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The reality of God usually manifests in stillness.
Life events and experiences are full of confrontations of faith and conviction. Our faith is usually confronted, and our conviction is often challenged. But what matters eventually is how we handle these confrontations and challenges of life.
It is the ability to come out victorious that matters.
There may be times when we encounter situations that cause us to wonder what to do.
Today, we shall be looking at one of the things to do at such times: Be still.
Now, what does it mean to be still? It means to be calm; to be at peace. It means to be unruffled and unshaken. It means to be murmur-less and noiseless.
What are the products of stillness? What do we stand to benefit from being still?
1. In stillness is insight. Psalm 46:10 says, Be still, and know….So when you are at peace, there are things you know. At times when the enemy wants you to be agitated and tensed up, calm down and listen; you will hear and know something.
2. In stillness is encounter. Knowledge is a form of encounter. The Bible said, And Adam knew his wife…. (Genesis 4:1). In other words, Adam encountered his wife. So, to be still is to have encounters.
3. In stillness is the manifestation of Divine reality. The reality of God manifests in stillness. There is a side of God you will never know until you are calm because it is not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that showeth mercy (Romans 9:16).
Beloved, be still and watch God move. It is not over until God says it is over, and God will never say it is over until His interest is secured; until His purpose is confirmed in your life and destiny. So, do not let anything under heaven make you lose your peace in God.
Remember this: The reality of God manifests in stillness.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Do not worry about anything; praise God with all your heart and watch Him move into action.
2. When you are confronted by the storms of life, be still, and listen for Divine instruction and direction, write them out and obey accordingly.
3. Dissociate yourself from every source of discouragement or depression.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your plan for me. Thank You Lord for perfecting all that concerns me. I receive Your peace, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
