TOPIC: STIRRING THE BLESSING BY THE WORD
SCRIPTURE: Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. Psalm 112:1-3.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The process of reading the Word of God is like transmitting the Blessing the way electric cables transmit electric current.
Our anchor Scripture reveals that the Blessing of the Lord is the portion of the righteous. However, many people do not know how to access this Blessing.
Now, the question is, how can you access God’s Blessing?
I will answer this question by an illustration.
Imagine you have a glass of water and you want to make it a glass of tea, what would you do? You would first drop a cube of sugar in the water.
When you do so, the cube of sugar would settle at the bottom of the glass of water. Now, there is sugar in the water, but if you drink it, it seems not to make any difference because the sugar settled at the bottom of the cup.
Now, people would blame the sugar for failing to make the water sweet, but the problem is not the sugar; the sugar is already in the container. If you want to have the taste of the sugar in the water, you stir the water in the cup.
In the same way, the blessing of the Lord remains constant until it is provoked or stirred. There is a stirring process of the Blessing that makes what you carry become manifest. You need to stir the Blessing of the Lord in your life for people to see you and see it. For people to experience God’s Blessing in your life, you must stir it to manifestation
Now, one key that stirs the Blessing is, Hearing and doing the word.
The process of reading the Word of God is like transmitting the Blessing the way electric cables transmit electric current. There is blessing in the reading and meditation of God’s Word (Revelation 1:3).
So, every time you read the word, ask the Lord, “What do you want me to do?” Then, go and do it.
As you do this, you would not only see God’s Blessing on your life, you would also become a Blessing to your generation.
Remember this: The process of reading the Word of God is like transmitting the Blessing the way electric cables transmit electric current.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Go through today’s message once again.
2. Make up your mind to read, study the Word, meditate on it, pray and practice it constantly for the release of the Blessing of God on your life.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to stir up Your Blessing in my life for the benefit of my generation. Help me to read, study, meditate, pray and practice Your Word consistently, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
