Streams of Joy 27 May 2021 Thursday Devotional by Pastor Jerry Eze – Grow In Strength
READ PASTOR JERRY EZE STREAMS OF JOY DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY 27TH MAY 2021.

TOPIC: GROW IN STRENGTH
SCRIPTURE: “But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.” (1 Samuel 30: 10)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture tells the tale of two hundred men who were too tired to cross over the brook Besor. There was a battle to fight, there were recoveries to be made, but some men were simply too tired to do more than just arrive at the brook Besor. Some men were too tired to make progress from where they were. They desired recovery, but they lacked the energy needed for the process. They lacked energy to move forward.
Friend, don’t be counted amongst those who are too tired to make progress. Don’t be counted amongst those who do not have the spiritual energy to keep pushing when it becomes difficult to push. Don’t be counted amongst those who do not have the verve and the focus to press forward and prevail over their challenges. Don’t be counted amongst the lazy folks who give up when others are still pressing on.
Those men gave up because their strength had gone down. They gave up because they had no more strength in them to proceed. In this season, beware of whatsoever that drains you of strength. Beware of relationships that make you lose steam. Beware of activities that drain you of the physical, spiritual, financial, emotional, or intellectual strength that you need to make progress. Beware of strength drainers.
Grow your strength to a higher level than where it currently is. Grow your strength to a new level where you will do more without being fazed. Deepen your spiritual strength. Stretch yourself beyond your current limits. Break out of the confines of laziness and slothfulness. Don’t be caught in the web of those who are never strong enough for any assignment. Don’t be counted amongst the weak when others are strong.
Grow your strength to the next level. Ask God to increase your strength beyond where it currently is.
Proverbs 24: 10 says: “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
Declare With Me: I grow in strength; I will not be counted amongst the weak, in Jesus’ name!

You see struggle, I see growth in your faith that easy couldn’t produce. I didn’t ask you to understand My wisdom, I said, ‘Commit your way to Me; trust in Me and I will do this: I will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun’ (Psalm 37:5-6).
When you can’t see what I’m doing, when you don’t feel like I’m in control, lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge Me and I will direct your path. I told you that, ‘I will refresh your soul, I will guide you along the right paths for My name’s sake’ (Psalm 23:3). My name is on the line…I’ve already fixed it, I’ve already made it right, I’ve already done a new thing, I’ve already opened doors that no man can close.
Repent for leaning to your own understanding, and walk by faith not by sight. Your eyes have not seen, your ears have not heard nor has it entered into your heart the things I have prepared for you. Keep my praises continually in your mouth.
