TOPIC: NO EVIDENCE
SCRIPTURE: “6. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.” (Luke 1: 6-7)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Elizabeth and Zechariah were righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord, yet without an offspring. They were in good standing before God, but their lives lacked an evidence of God’s goodness. It seemed that they were serving God for nothing. It seemed that they were wasting their time serving God. They were empty handed despite serving God dutifully.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: it will never be said that you served God and had nothing to show for it. It will never be said that your worship of God never showed up with evidence of God’s goodness. It will never be said that you walked in the ways of the Lord and of His commandments and ordinances, and yet had nothing to show for your commitment and dedication to God. You will never be a fruitless follower of God.
Elizabeth and Zechariah were in that place where it simply did not make sense that they were sold out to God. How could they be so sold out to God, and yet lack the very evidence that their God should have given them? How could they be so committed to God, and yet be in that situation where men could mock them for serving so dutifully and committedly? Today, I pray for you: your life will not be a mockery of your walk with God. It will never be said that you followed God but didn’t look like it.
Today, I call forth your divine evidence that terminates every argument. Men will see the works of God in your life and they will seek to serve God. Men will see your testimonies and they will want to love God more. Your results will draw men to Jesus. Your evidence will build the faith of many. Those who have lost faith in God will see what God is about to make happen for you, and they will rise again in faith and in confidence in God.
Your days of walking with God, yet without divine evidence of His goodness, are over. I decree, you are moving from emptiness to fullness; you are moving from the normal to the glorious.
Psalm 65: 5 says: “By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:”
Declare With Me: As I serve the Lord, I will not be empty handed; I receive divine evidence, in Jesus’ name!
