PASTOR JERRY EZE DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR 1ST DECEMBER 2023

Study and Meditate on Today’s Streams of Joy Daily Devotional for 1 December 2023 written by Pastor Jerry Eze. God bless you!

TOPIC: PROPHECY FULFILLED

SCRIPTURE: “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,” (Matthew 2: 1)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
The birth of Jesus was one that was spoken of severally by prophets in Old Testament times. Isaiah spoke about it (see Isaiah 7, 9, etc.); Malachi spoke about it (see Malachi 3); Micah spoke about it (Micah 5: 2); Zechariah spoke of it (see Zechariah 12: 10); many verses of scripture announced God’s plan, and one day, that plan became the world’s reality. Jesus’ birth was a clear case of a prophecy which was fulfilled at God’s own time.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in the same way the birth of Jesus was fulfilled, every word that God has spoken concerning you will be fulfilled. Every prophecy that has gone ahead of you will be fulfilled. Every word of the Lord concerning your tomorrow will be fulfilled. Everything that God has written about you in scriptures will be fulfilled. Everything that heaven has said about you will be divinely fulfilled, before your very eyes.

There was a generation that only heard about the prophecies of what God was going to do, but then came this generation that witnessed the fulfillment before their very eyes. Some people only knew of prophecy, but some others witnessed the fulfillment of prophecy. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you belong to that generation that will witness a fulfillment of what God has said. With your own eyes, you will see the hand of the Lord perform His will.

Some of the things said about Jesus in prophecy may have looked unreasonable or too difficult to happen, but they all happened. Easy or difficult, God made them happen, nothing missing and nothing broken. If God has said it, whether it be easy or difficult, He will make it happen, nothing missing and nothing broken. If God has gone as far as saying it, take it to the bank: the fulfillment is sure, and will happen in a matter of time.

Don’t lose faith in God’s word and God’s promise. If He said it, He will make it happen.
Isaiah 40: 8 says: “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
Declare With Me: I move from prophecy to fulfilment, in Jesus’ name!
