TOPIC: EVIL MACHINATIONS
SCRIPTURE: “6. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 7. Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? 8. And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?” (Mark 2: 6-8)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the scribes reasoned in their hearts concerning what Jesus said about the paralytic man. Jesus proclaimed forgiveness of sins to the paralytic man, and the scribes began to argue in their hearts concerning what Jesus had proclaimed. In their hearts, they opposed what Jesus said. In their hearts, they protested against what Jesus said.
Even before they could speak, Jesus replied what was in their hearts.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: while they are yet thinking evil against you, the Lord will reply them. While they are still cooking their conspiracies in their hearts, the Lord will reply them. While they are still thinking of how to hurt your destiny, the Lord will arise and silence them. While they are still posturing to discern the best way to scuttle your progress, El Roi will scuttle their arrangements and thoughts from the roots.
In this season, while your enemies are cooking their conspiracies, it will scatter while it is still in their minds. Their gatherings will scatter from the roots before it even manifests. Whatever enchantment or satanic divination that is made against you will not see the light of day. Whatever evil machinations of the heart that are being plotted against you will never become reality. What the enemies are plotting will fail.
You serve a God who has what it takes to address your adversaries while they are still plotting. You serve a God who has what it takes to cut short the plans of the wicked against you. You serve a God who sees the evil that is plotted against you in the hearts of men, and scuttles same before they can execute it. You serve a God who knows what is hidden where eyes cannot see. You serve a God who scuttles it before you know about it.
Welcome to that season where the wickedness of the wicked will be scuttled before they see the light of day. Welcome to that season where El Roi will expose and scuttle evil machinations in the hearts of men against you.
Daniel 2: 22 says: “He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.”
