TODAY’S TOPIC: EL ROI SEES
SCRIPTURE: “When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” (John 6: 5)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional.
In our Focal Scripture, Jesus asked Philip where they could buy bread to feed the multitude. The multitude had not even mentioned if they were hungry, but Jesus was already making arrangements to take care of their hunger. Jesus was already making arrangements to settle them in the area wherein they were yet to complain. Jesus was already making arrangements to do for them what they never even asked Him to do for them.
Friend, we call Him El Roi for a reason: He sees where you are in need even before you ask; He sees what is missing even when you are yet to notice; He sees what needs to be done even before you figure it out; He sees the gaps that need to be filled even before you notice the gap; He sees what you may not have shown anyone; He sees even when you do not want people to see it; He sees the hunger you are yet to announce.
The same way Jesus began making arrangements to feed the multitude without even consulting them, El Roi is already making arrangements for you in places where your eyes cannot see. El Roi is already making moves to turn the tables in your favour. El Roi is already causing your needs to receive attention. El Roi is already making arrangements for your new season. El Roi is already making a way where you have no plans.
They didn’t ask Him for food, but He fed them and even allowed a huge chunk of bread to remain unto those who already had their fill. Without asking for it, they walked into a miracle. Without asking for it, they ended up in an overflow. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you may not have asked for it, but El Roi is opening the doors of your overflow. You may not have asked for it, but you will be a partaker of miracles you did not expressly ask for.
Welcome to your season of unsolicited miracles. Welcome to that season where El Roi will grant you answers you are yet to ask for.
Isaiah 65: 24 says: “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Declare With Me: By the mercies of God, I walk into unsolicited miracles, in Jesus’ name!
