Streams of Joy Today Devotional 9 January 2024 || Divine Encounters
TODAY’S TOPIC: DIVINE ENCOUNTERS
“And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.” (Genesis 16: 10)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, the Lord proclaimed the blessing of multiplication upon the seed of Hagar. El Roi encountered Hagar, and that encounter birthed the blessing of multiplication for the seed (offspring) of Hagar. One person’s encounter birthed blessings for the next generation. One person’s encounter with El Roi caused heaven to proclaim favour for the next generation. Hagar’s encounter was the next generation’s blessing.
Friend, your divine encounters this year are pregnant with the blessings that will accrue to your offspring. Your divine encounters will position your next generation for huge blessings they did not even pray for. Your divine encounters will open new doors for your next generation. Your divine encounters will cause your children to enjoy ease they didn’t labour for. Your encounters with El Roi will attract blessings on your seed.
The conversation between Hagar and the Angel of the Lord led to the proclamation of blessings upon the seed of Hagar. What transpired between Hagar and the Angel of the Lord, led to blessings upon her offspring.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: in 2024, your prayers will birth huge blessings for your offspring. Your relationship with God will open new doors for your unborn generation. What you do with God will pay off for your unborn seed.
In all your doings in 2024, be intentional to seek divine encounters with God. It’s not enough to desire what you will receive from the Father. Seek to first be with the Father; seek to be more like Jesus; seek His face more than ever before; seek His glory to rub off on you more than ever before; seek that His presence will cause you to become more in Him; seek for encounters that will turn around the lives of those connected to you.
Be intentional to seek divine encounters this year, with El Roi. Don’t be that one that merely knows the Lord without encountering Him.
Psalm 98: 3 says: “He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.”
