Daily Bible Verse June 22, 2026 – Meaning, Prayer & Life Application
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV) “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
Meaning
In this verse, the Apostle Paul the Apostle reminds believers that their bodies are not ordinary vessels but sacred temples where the Holy Spirit dwells. Through salvation, God takes up residence within us, making our lives holy and set apart for His purposes.
This truth calls us to honor God in every aspect of our lives—through our thoughts, actions, words, and the way we care for ourselves. Recognizing that we belong to God helps us make choices that reflect His character and bring glory to His name.
Life Application
Today, remember that God lives in you through His Spirit. Treat your body with respect, pursue purity, and make decisions that honor the Lord. Avoid anything that draws you away from God’s will and embrace habits that strengthen your spiritual life.
When you see yourself as God’s temple, you begin to value yourself according to His purpose and walk in greater obedience to Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for making me Your dwelling place through the Holy Spirit. Help me to honor You with my body, mind, and spirit. Give me the grace to live a life of purity, obedience, and holiness. Let everything I do reflect Your presence within me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Life Confession
Today, I declare that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I belong to God, and I honor Him with my thoughts, words, and actions. I walk in purity, wisdom, and obedience. The presence of God dwells in me, and my life brings glory to His name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
