Joel Osteen Devotional 9 November 2025 Inspirational Message

Topic: Have a Good Mood
Scripture: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. – 1 Corinthians 15:58, NKJV

To be steady and immovable, consistently in a good mood, happy, friendly, and kind should be our goal. The reason some people don’t have good relationships is they’re so moody. They’re happy on Monday. Upset on Tuesday. Discouraged on Wednesday. Friendly on Thursday. Stay out of their way on Friday. If that’s you, that’s difficult on the people in your life. They never know what you’re going to be like today. You owe it to them and to yourself to start ruling over those feelings.

One of the best testimonies we can have is to be consistently in a good mood. We’re stable, pleasant, and fun to be around. Maturity is when you routinely choose a good attitude. This can save some relationships, help you get along better with your children, and help you get unstuck in your career. If you’re letting your feelings rule, it will limit how high you can go. Nobody can do this for you. You have to override how you feel and decide to have a good attitude, decide to be in a good mood.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You have always been steadfast and immovable in Your love for me. Thank You for calling and equipping me to be the same. Help me to stay consistently in a good mood, to override negative feelings, and to be someone others can always count on. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: The Scripture says in James, “The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person makes tremendous power available.” This passage says the effectual fervent prayer. Not a weak prayer, not a lethargic prayer, saying the same thing every day with no passion. But when you pray a passionate prayer, a stirred-up prayer, a bold prayer, that makes tremendous power available. The prayer that’s effective is a fervent, passionate, bold, courage-filled prayer.
